Telerik announced the immediate availability of a new release of Test Studio, its automated software testing solution. This release of Test Studio delivers an expanded range of functionality including powerful load testing capabilities, integration with HP Quality Center and Defect tracking systems, as well as an easy to use exploratory testing tool.

“Load testing is an extraordinarily complex domain which has historically required tools costing tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.” said Christopher Eyhorn, Executive VP, Telerik Testing Tools Division, “Our goal is to bring load testing to the smaller organizations by not only making it affordable but also extremely easy to use.”

Test Studio’s Load Testing functionality leverages the existing infrastructure of the solution’s performance testing feature thus enabling customers to run a load test and a performance test simultaneously to see how a specific one-user experience performs when a server is experiencing high load across multiple protocols and technologies. It also adds:
* Simple and intuitive setup, configuration and execution
* Multiple channels for designing user profiles
* Live results analysis
* One Virtual User license type that covers multiple protocols

This new release of Test Studio also includes:
* Test Studio Explore – an in-browser extension for exploratory testing that allows customers to capture and send feedback directly from the application.
* HP Quality Center Integration – enables testers to push test results to HP Quality Center.
* Defect Tracking Systems Integration (Microsoft TFS and Telerik TeamPulse) – allows bug submission directly to a project.

Pricing

Test Studio’s portable machine license includes automated functional, performance and load testing functionality as well as a Visual Studio plug-in. Virtual User packs for load testing are sold separately. Packs start at $2,500 for 100 Virtual Users.
