Release of the ISTQB Glossary Version 2.2
At the ISTQB® General Assembly meeting in Cape Town during October 2012, the ISTQB® “standard glossary of Testing terms”, version 2.2 was approved for release. ISTQB® is an organization based on volunteer work by hundreds of international testing experts. ISTQB® (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) was founded in November 2002 and is a not-for-profit association legally registered in Belgium.
This new ISTQB® glossary has the following main new additions:
* Full support for testing terms used in the newly released 2012 ISTQB® Advanced syllabi (Test Manager, Test Analyst and Technical Test Analyst)
* Full support for testing terms used in the Expert level module syllabus “Test Management” (released late 2011)
* Explicit identification of keywords used in the various ISTQB® syllabi at Foundation, Advanced and Expert level.
Since the glossary uses the principle of backwards compatibility as much as possible, this version can be used today by all stakeholders and formally replaces glossary version 2.1. You can download the new glossary version 2.2 on http://istqb.org/downloads/viewcategory/20.html
