Gets $4 Million in Venture Capital, an open source automated testing framework built for the web, has announced that it has secured $4 million in seed funding co-led by Las Olas Venture Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners. Previous investors Tech Square Ventures, BLH Ventures and Buckhead Investment Partners supported the round. The investment will be used to accelerate product development, sales growth and market expansion.

“Cypress was designed to fit seamlessly into DevOps workflows, making developers’ lives easier and enabling faster and more comprehensive test automation to dramatically accelerate software release cycles,” said Drew Lanham, chief executive officer of Cypress. “This infusion of capital will allow us to continue building Cypress for our thriving community of passionate developers.”

Founded in 2014, Cypress is developer driven and is used by more than 13,000 developers at organizations like Betterment, Crunchbase, DHL, GitHub, Kiwi, NASA, The New York Times, Slack and Shopify. Cypress is headquartered at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
