Example prompts include simple forks like Do you test regularly throughout the development cycle? And If not, what blocks you most right now-budget, staffing, or missing expertise? For teams that already test, probes shift to How consistently is testing enforced in your Definition of Done? And Which bug tracking or test management tools are actually used day to day? Questions should adapt by scale. A startup might be asked who owns testing this week and how often releases go out. An enterprise might be asked about automation percentages by domain, stability of environments, and how client feedback lands in the QA backlog.
Turn answers into insight with AI
Collecting responses is only the start. With a person in the loop, AI becomes a decision aid rather than a decision maker. An AI system can quickly cluster themes, surface recurring pains, and propose several candidate solutions. I usually work question by question.
While doing this task, I personally have experimented with several of them (mostly ChatGPT, sometimes Claude or Grok). The idea is that any comparable conversational AI tool can be used in that step.

- The QA expert reviews trade-offs, effort, and impact, then chooses an approach and defines next steps with clear metrics.
