The Shift Toward Integrated Quality

Educational programs need to match this reality. That doesn’t mean turning every CS student into a testing specialist, but it does mean producing graduates who understand that quality is part of the job, not someone else’s problem. Students should finish their degree knowing how to write testable code, design effective test suites, and think critically about software quality.
The universities that figure this out first will have a real competitive advantage. Their graduates will be more employable, their industry partnerships will be stronger, and their programs will be more relevant. The ones that stick with the old model will keep producing programmers who know algorithms but don’t know how to build reliable systems.
And the industry will keep complaining.
